Product Description
Industrial-Grade Heavy Duty Mesh Tarps with Brass Grommets
When you need to secure a load while allowing critical airflow, a solid tarp will act like a parachute and tear itself apart. DeBrovys Heavy Duty Mesh Tarps with Grommets are engineered specifically for these high-wind, high-tension applications. Manufactured from premium PVC-coated polyester yarns woven into a dense 14x14 mesh pattern, these tarps provide the perfect balance of containment and breathability. They are the industry standard for securing gravel, sand, dirt, and landscaping materials in dump trucks and roll-off containers, ensuring your cargo stays in the bed while wind passes cleanly through the fabric.
Unlike retail-grade mesh tarps that fray and unravel after a single season, DeBrovys industrial mesh tarps are built for relentless daily use. Every tarp features a triple-folded perimeter hem reinforced with heavy-duty 2-inch seatbelt webbing. This impenetrable edge provides the structural foundation for our solid brass spur grommets, which are set precisely every 24 inches along the sides. These grommets will not rust, and the spur design bites into the seatbelt webbing to prevent pull-out even when strapped down tightly with heavy rubber tension cords at highway speeds.
The 14x14 PVC-Coated Polyester Advantage
The core strength of our heavy duty mesh tarps comes from the 1000-denier high-tenacity polyester base yarn. This structural core is heavily coated with liquid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) before the weaving process. This individual yarn coating ensures that the fabric is completely waterproof, highly resistant to ultraviolet (UV) degradation, and immune to rot and mildew. The dense 14x14 weave pattern provides approximately 60-70% shade coverage, making these tarps equally effective for agricultural shade structures, privacy fencing, and construction site windbreaks.
Because the PVC coating is applied before weaving, the mesh retains its flexibility even in freezing temperatures. The fabric will not become brittle or crack during winter hauling operations. Furthermore, the PVC surface is naturally resistant to oil, grease, and most industrial chemicals, allowing the tarp to be easily cleaned with a hose at the end of the shift. For extreme abrasion applications involving jagged scrap metal or demolition debris, we recommend upgrading to our specialized Mega Mesh Auto Tarps.

Versatile Applications Beyond Transportation
While originally designed for the rigorous demands of the waste and transportation industries, the durability and breathability of our heavy duty mesh tarps make them highly versatile across multiple sectors. In commercial agriculture, they are frequently deployed over hoop houses and livestock enclosures to provide durable, UV-resistant shade that won't tear in high winds. Landscaping companies utilize them not only to cover mulch and dirt in transit but also as heavy-duty drag tarps for moving yard debris.
On construction sites, these tarps serve as excellent safety debris netting when secured to scaffolding, or as privacy screens when attached to perimeter chain-link fencing. The solid brass grommets allow for rapid, secure installation using heavy-duty zip ties or carabiners. If your application requires complete waterproof protection rather than airflow, explore our extensive line of Vinyl Coated Polyester Fabrics. Frequently Asked Questions
Are the sizes listed exact or "cut sizes"?
Like all standard industrial tarps, the dimensions listed are "cut sizes." This means the fabric is cut to the specified dimensions before the hems are folded and stitched. Because we triple-fold our hems to ensure maximum strength around the grommets, the final finished size of the tarp will be approximately 4 to 6 inches smaller than the listed cut size. Please account for this when measuring your truck bed or structure.
Why do you use brass spur grommets instead of aluminum?
Aluminum grommets are cheaper and lighter, but they bend easily under tension and will eventually corrode or oxidize when exposed to road salt and harsh weather. DeBrovys uses only solid brass spur grommets. Brass is completely rust-proof, and the "spur" design features small teeth that bite directly into the seatbelt webbing, making it nearly impossible for the grommet to rip out under heavy tension.
Can this mesh tarp be used with an automated front-to-rear tarp system?
While these specific tarps with grommets all around are designed for manual tie-down applications, the 14x14 mesh material itself is excellent for automated systems. If you need a replacement tarp for a Donovan, Shur-Co, or Pioneer automated system, you will need a tarp with a spline edge for the roller bar and a pocket for the rear cross-tube, rather than grommets on all four sides. We manufacture those specifically in our Truck Tarp Systems category.
How much wind does a 14x14 mesh tarp block?
A 14x14 weave density blocks approximately 60% to 70% of wind and sunlight. This provides excellent containment for sand and gravel while allowing enough air to pass through to prevent the tarp from billowing and violently snapping against the truck body at highway speeds.

Excellent heavy duty mesh tarps — holds up to daily use
We run a fleet of 12 dump trucks and have been ordering these mesh tarps from DeBrovys for years. The brass grommets never pull out and the seatbelt webbing on the hems is incredibly strong. We use these for hauling gravel and sand daily and they last far longer than anything we have found elsewhere.
