Roll, Spring (.250 wire)

The H7008A Spring is made from .250 Wire and is the driving force behind the rotating tarp roller. As the tarp system deploys, the roller housing spins with the unrolling tarp, but the internal roller shaft does not. The spring is anchored on each end to the internal cones of the roller assembly and the rotations of the external roller housing cause the internal spring to wind up and store energy as the tarp rolls out. This stored energy is released as the tarp arms are brought back to the front of the chassis, with the wound up spring causing the roller to roll up the tarp back to its original position at the same time that the tarp arms bring the roller assembly forward.
